Xmas came early for
pupils at Ladywood Primary School in Grimethorpe this week when local MP
Jeff Ennis presented a cheque for £400 from the Football Foundation for
new football kit. Jeff handed the cheque to head teacher Claire Grainger.
Jeff said, "I'm delighted to present the cheque on behalf of the Football
Foundation who do such fantastic things in supporting football at the
grass roots level". Head Claire Grainger added, "I would also like to
thank the manufacturers Nike for providing the kit for this excellent
initiative." Jeff concluded by adding, "This Government is doing all it
can to keep young people fit and healthy and the provision of kit like
this can only act as a stimulus towards that objective.
